First off, the location was excellent. We were a short walk from Nagoya Station, and best of all, it was easy too. From the Station, walk towards the spiral building (you CANNOT miss it), and then take a left. Aloing the way, there are lots of local eateries that are always full (so you know they're good), and it's also a minute or two away from the local fish market, which offers tonnes of fresh seafood. Apart from that, there are two kombinis (7-11 and Family Mart) about 5 minutes away (although they are not as big as others and often run out of my favourite tamago-sando). The hotel was also very stylish and chic. Honestly, we'd never choose a place like this because we'd assume that the price would have been too prohibitive. Fortunately for us, it wasn't and we found the perfect little spot in Nagoya. The room itself were superbly designed. We needed an extra bed, so it was a bit cramped, but with a bit of imagination and rearranging, we made the space work well for us. The beds were comfortable, and the amenities were superb. The shower (my most crucial factor) was hot and powerful, which we all needed after 10 hours of walking each day. But what made the 5-star stay truly unforgettable was the staff, in particular one Ryosuke Kato! He was the first person to meet us when we checked-in, and we immediately hit it off. Over the next week or so, he took great care of us, and gave us tonnes of recommendations around Nagoya, the smaller cities around, and especially his hometown of Okazaki. In fact, his hospitality and warmth made it feel like we were staying with an old friend in his very posh and upmarket apartment, rather than at one of Nagoya's coolest hotels. We will truly miss him and cannot wait for the day when we see each other again. Ps. When at Nikko Style, make sure you rent the bikes to explore the city a bit. You just need to navigate the parking.

Great hotel about 900m from Nagoya station with plenty of shops, restaurants and facilities nearby. The reception staff all spoke English, are friendly and helpful. We stayed in a super king room that has a comfy and biggest bed we’ve ever encountered! Wonderful shower, bath, TV where we can watch YouTube and other streaming services. Spacious room with a sofa / seating area. There were two downsides 1) the rooms don’t seem to be soundproofed. We hear other people in the hotel: coming and going, door slamming and kids running around on the wooden floors of their room. Luckily there is a White Noise machine which drowns out the noise for a much needed sleep! 2) the tea seems to be ‘rationed’ - we were able to choose from a nice selection of teas but were told we can have 8 for our 4 night stay. It seems to be a strange set up and feels like a budget type hotel experience.

The Japanese set breakfast choice was exceptional. The rest of the buffet was also very good. Staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful, with excellent service in all areas. Hotel location is good - less than 10 min walk to Nagoya station. Note that getting out of Nagoya station can be confusing due to its' size and the multiple exits. So ensure that you have precise directions. Hotel rooms and facilities are very good. Several major attractions are within walking distance (under 30min) from Nikko Nagoya hotel. - Nagoya castle/Hommaru palace, Noritake gardens, Toyota Commemorative museum, Science museum, Osu-shotengai district, etc. Do not believe people who say there isn't much to do in Nagoya. We stayed 5 nights and were fully occupied every day. And Nikko Style Nagoya is definitely a top choice if you are planning a stay in Nagoya.

The staff at Nikko Style Nagoya were very helpful. The woman who helped us one day in getting us a taxi explained to the taxi driver where we wanted to go. She told him that we wanted to stop at a place and walk around for a little while he waited. We're not used to that kind of service in the US. The beds were also very comfortable and clean. It was also great to be able to use the washer and dryer to do our laundry. The TV displayed the washers and dryers to see which were available to use and how much time was left on each one. The hotel was in very easy walking distance to the subway. It was also very close to the Nagoya Station. Excellent location.

One of the loveliest hotels I've ever stayed in. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and consistently went the extra mile. The rooms were large, especially considering the price paid, with extremely comfortable beds and bedding. I was a little concerned about the exposed dressing area adjacent to the shower/bath unit, but there is a screen you can pull across for significantly greater privacy if required. Supplied toiletries were excellent. The location is extremely convenient for Kintetsu Nagoya station. I would love to comment on the foyer cafe, but my early starts meant I was never around when it was open. A big shame, as it looked great.
